Dog Home Check offers an Independent Objective Service free for all Rescue Shelters and a paid service for Licensed Bred Pets that need to obtain a professional, stringent *home check for their rescue Puppies/ Adult Dogs/ Cats to ensure animals are adopted to the right new pet owners with the perfect furever homes
*The Home Check always represents the name of Shelter or Breeder

Face to Face or Virtual home checks that :-
* Check ID`s of all adopters at the address (& copy for files)
* Check their financial status/ work status (& copy for files)
* Check their home address is valid and in their name/s for ownership or residency (& copy for files)
* Check status of being able to keep a domestic animal (rented properties checked for landlords permission with copy for files)
* Check longevity of keeping the dog for its lifetime
* Check where the dog will be kept overnight/ during day
* Check the appropriateness of dog & breed skills to that new home
* Check the appropriateness of the breed to the prospective owners knowledge of dog care/handling
* Check knowledge and intention of correct Feeding, daily Caring, Vets name and address, Regular Exercise & Safety appropriate for the rescue dog breed, size and requirements
* Give breed appropriate handling advice from a Professional Dog Behaviourist
* Discuss settling in animals to a new home using the 3x3x3 process
* Give the prospective adopters advice on basic Animal Behaviour, UK Dog Laws that they are bound by - the importance of 3rd party Insurance and where to access
* Provide a comprehensive homecheck form to the Rescue/ Breeder that records the visit in detail and copies of ID, address etc (or use shelters own paperwork)
* Provide the prospective owner with written information on caring for their dog & a free 1-2-1 advice offer
* Other Rescue Shelter/ Breeder Specific issues covered
* Inform the Rescue of Home Approval, Rejection, Recommendations' or Concerns for rehoming

Free to Rescue Shelters: A nominal £10 to be paid by the prospective adopter to the home checker for expenses (+ travel @ 10p per mile if over a 10 mile radius from Home Checkers base)​

£50 per Licensed Bred Dog, per visit + Travel @ .45p per mile.

£ — “On request” for individuals rehoming their own animals (proof required of ownership)
